Holly Road Supportive Care Centre is a new community hub which aims to strengthen the community of Uttoxeter and surrounding areas by connecting individuals to the help and support they need.
The centre opened its doors to the whole community in September 2015. The multi-purpose centre offers a range of services and information to support local people to live well in later life, and benefit from improved end of life care.
It is a place for connecting local people with the support they need; a place to seek help and advice on health and wellbeing, to promote partnerships and support local community groups.
Michelle Vodden is the centre’s co-ordinator. She is based at the centre from Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm. The centre also has a team of active volunteers who support our work.
The centre also offers a variety of day therapies to local patients under the care of St Giles Hospice and Katharine House Hospice, which include lymphoedema management, bereavement care and complementary therapies.
